Integración laboral y social en Repsol

Repsol, in line with its social commitment, is working to make access to repsol.com easier for everybody, regardless of:

  • > Technological or environmental limitations (noise, poor illumination, old browsers, slow connections)
  • > Physical conditions (visual, auditory, motor, neurological or cognitive problems, including where related to language or old-age)                   

In 2007 repsol.com was brought up to date in accordance with the following standards of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C): XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2.0.

In 2008 a representative sample of repsol.com web pages was subjected to audit to determine the site's level of accessibility according to generally accepted standards. As a means of measuring accessibility, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), as defined by the W3C's Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). These guidelines take the form of a series of check-points that have to be fulfilled in order to attain an accessible web environment.  The audit was carried out by ADESIS, a member company of the W3C since 2007. 

In November 2008, repsol.com achieved the following performance levels:

 

  • > A: 26.68% 
  • > AA: 31.22% 
  • > AAA: 32.93 %                

Throughout 2009, repsol.com will continue to work on incorporating accessibility criteria into its web development, particularly in its corporate information area.
